Your pet's story is the most personal thing you'll ever share with us, and we treat it that way. Here is exactly what we collect, why, and what stays yours to control.
The short version
- —Your stories, photos and recordings belong to you.
- —We use them only to write and print your book.
- —We never sell your data, and we never use your private stories to train public AI models.
What we collect
- —Your account details, like your email address.
- —The things you share to build your book — messages, photos, voice notes and videos.
- —Basic, aggregated usage data that helps the site work and improve.
- —Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
How we use it
- —To run your AI interview and to write and assemble your book.
- —To print your hardcover and ship it to you.
- —To send order updates and answer your questions.
- —To keep Petmoir secure and make it better.
AI processing
- —To turn your stories into chapters, we send your inputs to trusted AI providers — for writing, and for transcribing voice notes.
- —They process your content on our behalf to make your book, not to train their public models.
- —You can always edit or remove anything the AI produces.
Who we share it with
- —Service providers who help us operate: payments (Stripe), printing and shipping, email delivery, secure hosting and storage, and privacy-respecting analytics.
- —They may only use your data to provide their service to us.
- —We never sell your personal data or your pet's stories.
Storage, security & retention
- —Your content is stored securely and sent over encrypted connections.
- —We keep it while your account is active and as long as we need it to fulfil your orders.
- —You can ask us to export or delete your data at any time.
Your choices & rights
- —You can access, correct, export or delete your information.
- —Depending on where you live — for example under GDPR or CCPA — you may have extra rights. Just ask, and we'll honour them.
- —Petmoir isn't intended for children under 16.
Cookies
- —We use a small number of cookies to keep the site working and to understand, in aggregate, how it's used. You can control cookies in your browser.
